PETRIFIED FOREST NATIONAL PARK: MARTHA'S BUTTE PHOTO GALLERY. Martha's Butte Petroglyph Site is a short hike from the main road in the southern part of the Park. Apparently the large spiral image is a Summer Solstice Marker. For more information about this hike, click HERE. If you do this hike, I stronly suggest you take a compass/GPS.
